ABOUT ME

I think it is fairly typical to talk about yourself in the third person here, but that feels awkward.  I have a PhD in theater but please don't hold that against me.  I only make you call me "Dr." if the mood strikes me.

I have three kids and an awesome husband.  They're pretty cool. I am a compulsive writer.  I also direct and teach on occasion.  So far, Winthrop University and UNC-C both let me call myself a professor there and allow me access to young minds.  We probably won't know how that will pan out for about another decade or so.  Oh, and obviously: I write plays.

All kinds of plays.  Plays about monsters, and painters, and fictional comic book heroes.  Plays about loveable slackers, and Occupy activists, and broken fiddles.  Plays about bioterrorist dystopias, mental hospitals, and boys who like sandwiches.

My plays have been given breath by some wonderful actors at The NYC Fringe Festival, Dixon Place, and American Theater for Actors, as well as Pittsburgh Repertory Theater.  If you are one of those actors and I haven't spoken to you in awhile, hit me up.  I love you.  Except you.  Yes, you know the one you are.  I didn't like you.  You were mean.
